Pregnant women have many concerns with relation to pain in the lower back, mid-back, neck and pelvis. In addition to carrying more weight than your body is accustomed to, your endocrine system is releasing a hormone called relaxin, which will help your pelvis to stretch to accommodate childbirth. Although this is helpful for childbirth, it can cause significant increases in lower back, mid-back, neck or pelvic pain and asymmetry.
